#3 Capacity Building Webinar – APRE/SIE: Biogas: A possible, yet unknown ally
Biogas remains an underappreciated yet powerful resource in the transition towards a circular economy. On Wednesday, 19 March 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., a thought-provoking webinar titled “Biogas: A Possible, yet unknown ally” will explore its potential in revolutionising sustainable agriculture. With insights from leading experts, this session will highlight the role of biogas in reducing the environmental impact of farming while enhancing energy efficiency and economic resilience. Participants will gain valuable knowledge on how small and medium-sized farms can integrate biogas solutions to create self-sufficient and eco-friendly energy systems.
The event will feature Luca Zambelli, a consultant in renewable energy and biogas, who will share his expertise on implementing tailored energy solutions for agricultural businesses. Lorenzo Maggioni, a senior biomethane expert and former Head of R&D at the Italian Biogas Consortium, will provide an in-depth analysis of innovation in the sector and its alignment with European sustainability goals.
