ALFA’s 4th Plenary Meeting, held online on Friday, May 10th, 2024, was an important milestone in the project’s development. As the first project reporting period ended in April 2024, this gathering was critical to discuss the next steps to keep driving our combined efforts to increase biogas acceptance from European livestock markets.
During the virtual assembly, project partners discussed a wide range of critical issues towards achieving our goals. The discussions included both broader project goals and the fine specifics of designing ALFA’s support tools to fit the specific demands of the animal farming industries.
Key highlights included:
- Strategic Planning: Partners developed a detailed action plan to facilitate the deployment of renewable energy technologies, particularly biogas, in livestock farms. This strategic roadmap establishes the groundwork for targeted initiatives that promote sustainable practices.
- Innovative Solutions: Discussions focused on the evaluation of the progress of the services allocated during the 1st round of the open calls and the definition of the actions for their deployment before the summer.
- Knowledge Exchange: The meeting provided an engaging platform for exchanging ideas, experiences, and best practices. The partners benefited from the various perspectives presented to the meeting for different aspects, which showcased a positive attitude of learning and growth.
- Communication and Coordination: While acknowledging the great outcome of our communication tactics, attempts were made to improve these channels further. Improved communication techniques and project coordination systems are critical for maintaining seamless collaboration and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
